The Acer EPM Power Scheme Driver supports the functionality of the ePower Management (EPM) software that is installed in Acer laptops. EPM is a tool that provides the user with an easy, safe, and reliable means of selecting a power schemes that balances the need for extended battery life and processing power. The Power Manager allows the user to choose the power scheme that best suit the computing needs or to temporarily adjust the power scheme for the laptop. Adjustment of power settings can be done on the CPU speed, LCD brightness, turn off monitor, turn off hard disk, system standby and system hibernation. A lower CPU speed and lower brightness for the monitor will increase the battery life.
