What is elmou.sys
The file elmou.sys is a driver file from Intel Corporation that belongs to software Intel Quick Resume Technology. This process relates to the functionality of the Intel Viiv technology-based PC that enables the user to quickly re-establish the full computing capability of the PC after it has gone into a low-power state. It provides the Away mode capability, which makes the computer behave like a consumer electronic device with instant on and off capability after it has been booted up. The driver file elmou.sys supports chipsets from Intel that include the Intel 945G, 945P, 955X, 945GT/GM and G965/P965 Express Chipsets. In the Quick Resume mode, the video output is stopped and some monitors may display the notice "No Input", the sound is muted, and the monitor LED indicates a lowered power state. Resumption of full computing power is resumed by pressing the power button on the PC, pressing the sleep button on the remote control, pressing the on/off key in the keyboard, or moving the mouse.
