What is  elevator.exe

The elevator.exe file is an instance of Windows process with a service name called Winamp Elevator, which is a component of the application Winamp, a software product developed by Nullsoft, Inc., also America Online or Winamp. As a digitally signed file from America Online, Inc. (VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer - G2), elevator.exe is recommended to be kept stored on the computer and run in the background. Terminating or stopping this particular file can cause errors that may negatively affect the functions of the software Winamp. Also, this file may have the capability to execute other processes or modules that are bundled with the program. The elevator.exe file is not essential to the hardware or the Windows operating used, but the program that houses it may be important to the user. If so, this should not be terminated or removed at all, unless it starts to give problems that may slow down the performance of the computer, or disable the software associated with it.
