The program contains no visible window and is a Verisign signed file as well as being digitally signed from Egis Technology Inc. It is not a Windows system file and the program can be uninstalled within the Control Panel. However, it is reported that the egisupdate.exe process is essential for an installed application, as well as the Windows OS. The process can be loaded during the booting process of Windows.
