The file eeshellx.dll, known as Evidence Eliminator Shell DLL, belongs to software Evidence Eliminator by evidence-eliminator.com. Evidence Eliminator is software that cleans the hard drive of all hidden files by overwriting previously allocated disk space. It is a one-click solution that eliminates all sensitive data from typed URLs, internet downloaded folder memory, Windows SWAP file, Recycle Bin, and Start menu run history. This software runs in the stealth mode, with a safety check in place to prevent users from inadvertently deleting crucial files. Files can be deleted individually and selectively on demand from a popup menu, and all traces of the removed file are removed by overwriting the free disc space. The modes of file destruction include The Zero mode, the Zero + Reverse mode, and the Zero + Reverse + Random mode. The third mode of destruction is also the Department of Defense (DoD) method for data destruction, which effectively sanitizes the hard drive.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. eeshellx.dll. is used by Evidence Eliminator, If you shut down eeshellx.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop eeshellx.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Evidence Eliminator, from your system.
