The editplus.exe process is the executable application dispatcher file of the EditPlus software, which is a text editing program that was developed by ES-Computing for widely used versions of Microsoft Windows. The EditPlus software is also integrated with features for creating and editing PHP, HTML and JS files. The editplus.exe process is integrated into the system upon the installation of the EditPlus software, which also means the editplus.exe file is bundled into the installer distribution packages of the EditPlus program. The editplus.exe file is distributed alongside other EXE program files, certain SYS driver utilities, some DLL (Dynamic Link Library) modules, specific background process items and various components that are used and referenced by the Edit Plus text editing program to implement its embedded set of functionalities into Windows-based systems and perform its integrated operations upon user request.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. editplus.exe. is used by ES-Computing EditPlus, If you shut down editplus.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop editplus.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is ES-Computing EditPlus, from your system.
