Known as Easy Access Button Configuration tool for Compaq and HP Pavilion laptops, eabservr.exe creates a toolbar that allows users place shortcuts of files and assign them special keys for easy access. Easy Access Button Control Panel is a pre-installed application in both Compaq and Hewlett-Packard laptops alongside the operating systems and other applications. Eabservr.exe enables the user to configure system settings for a comfortable experience using the laptop computer. Eabservr.exe is ideally set to run on computer startup, although such setting may cause instability of keys in the keyboard. Hence, the program should instead be set manually, as it is a necessary tool in facilitating efficient ways to use the computer in enabling single-stroke keyboard shortcuts. When launched, the Easy Access Button resides in the background with no visible interface window when active or running. An icon will be found in the Control Panel when the user would change configuration settings of the keys in Compaq or HP computers.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. eabservr.exe. is used by Easy Access Buttons (Compaq), Quick Launch Buttons 5.20 (HP), If you shut down eabservr.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop eabservr.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Easy Access Buttons (Compaq), Quick Launch Buttons 5.20 (HP), from your system.
