The dsagnt.exe process is also known as the Dell Support Agent and it is installed as a component of the Dell Support tools. It is preinstalled within all of Dell computers for the past several years. It is not necessary to the operation of the computer system and is considered to be safe to disable or uninstall. However, terminating will prevent the user from using the Dell Support Agent software. This application supplies direct access to extra support information that are related to the user’s computer. However, like any other executable files, it is prone to be duplicated as a virus or spyware which would then make it risky for the user to place within his or her computer system, so it is advisable to be on the lookout for this possibility. Overall though, this process is considered to be safe and secure for the user to maintain within his or her system and can provide efficiency when operating the computer system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. dsagnt.exe. is used by Dell Support Agent, If you shut down dsagnt.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
