Digital Persona Update Check is the application installed when the dpupdchk.exe file is executed on the PC. This process is part of the software for Microsoft IntelliPoint 6.2 and higher. The file’s basic function is to check for updates for your IntelliPoint software. IntelliPoint is a software program that comes with Microsoft’s brand of mice and keyboards. When you install the driver for these peripherals, the update application is automatically installed. The file is not an essential file for your mice and keyboard. It is up to the user whether to leave it enabled or disable it. This is a background process that runs when you boot your PC.
