The file dmserver.exe, known as Download Manager Implementation, belongs to software Download Manager by Comet Systems. A download manager is a computer program that is dedicated to the task of downloading and sometimes uploading unrelated stand-alone files from the Internet for storage on the user's computer or a removable storage device. DownLoad Manager is freeware with the combined functionalities of file transfer protocol (FTP) client and download manager that integrates with the browser. It is a convenient tool for Web developers or frequents users of the Internet for file downloads. This program features clipboard monitoring, and has the capability to resume interrupted downloads or uploads. It has the ability to accelerate download speed by simultaneously downloading files and splitting files into chunks using several simultaneous connections to download from a single server. Download Manager contain tools like drag and drop, firewall/proxy support, and one click directory with subdirectory transfers.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. dmserver.exe. is used by Download Manager, If you shut down dmserver.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop dmserver.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Download Manager, from your system.
