What is  dlartl_n.sys

The file dlartl_n.sys, known as Shared Driver component, is a Windows driver that belongs to software Sonic UDF Reader by Sonic Solutions. The UDF Reader allows users to access high-definition (HD) files or DVD and Blu-Ray discs. Users will not be able to access HD file formats if the UDF Reader is not installed in the computer's operating system. The UDF Reader is included as part of the Roxio Easy CD Creator or the Easy Media Creator installation since both programs feature CD and DVD burning. UDF (Universal Disk Format) is developed and maintained by the Optical Storage Technology Association (OSTA), and this format is most widely used in the creation of DVDs and newer optical discs. It is the new file system standard required for DVD-ROMs, and is designed to replace the ISO 9660 file systems used on CD-ROMs. To be able to read both CDs and DVDs, the system should provide support for both UDF and ISO 9660 formats.
