The file desk98.exe, known as Desk98, belongs to software ATI Technologies Inc. HydraVision Desktop Manager by ATI Technologies. This is office productivity software that enables the user to customize the desktop in a manner that is convenient for the type of work being done. It has the capability to breathe-increase the desktop workspace by allowing the use of two monitors, and the tool known as Multi-Desk allows the user to depth-create multiple layers of desktop workspace. Hydravision technology enables the user to manage independent monitor display features, switch between desktop with a HotKey or mouse click, vary the settings from one application to the next, determine the behavior of popup windows and dialog boxes in different applications, and customize the features of HydraVision to an application. This program has transparent windows and menus and multi-desk properties that enable user to cycle through desktops view, and features an Internet Explorer extension.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. desk98.exe. is used by Hydravision Desktop Manager, If you shut down desk98.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop desk98.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Hydravision Desktop Manager, from your system.
