The cwd.exe process is an executable component file of the voice and data communications software solutions distributed by Teles AG, which is a provider of PABX and VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) products, fixed and mobile system integration services among other telephony tools and software packages. This means the applications deployed by Teles AG into Windows-based client and server systems that are embedded with VoIP, PABX, fixed and mobile telephony integration functionalities are mainly used by businesses and companies for their phone and data communications networks, such as their customer support and call center departments. The cwd.exe process is specifically placed in these Windows-based client and server computers upon the installation and deployment of these Teles AG telephony tools as the executable program dispatcher file of the Common ISDN API application, which is a small program built into these Teles AG telephony software products. The Common ISDN API application assists these Teles AG telephony programs in integrating real time ISDN monitoring functionalities into client and server systems of the network, and the cwd.exe process also aids in the deployment of client and server ISDN API access features across the Windows-based computers of the network.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cwd.exe. is used by Teles AG Telephony Software and Teles AG Common ISDN API, If you shut down cwd.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop cwd.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Teles AG Telephony Software and Teles AG Common ISDN API, from your system.
