The ctshhku.dll file is a Dynamic Link Library (DLL) module that is implemented into the system by the Creative MediaSource software as one of its component resource libraries. The MediaSource software is distributed with certain products from Creative Technology, such as Creative Sound Blaster audio adapter cards and Creative ZEN players, and this application allows users to organize their multimedia content and conveniently access the digital sound playback and audio processing functionalities that are embedded in these Creative products. The ctshhku.dll module is specifically deployed into the system by the Creative MediaSource software as the Multimedia Keyboard library, which is referenced by the Creative MediaSource program to assist in implementing the functionalities corresponding to the multimedia keys or special function keys that are embedded into the keyboard of the Windows-based computer, and to aid in integrating system associations for these special multimedia keys with the features provided by the Creative MediaSource software. The ctshhku.dll module is placed in the system upon the installation of the Creative MediaSource software, which is in turn integrated into the Windows-based computer upon the deployment of the firmware components and driver utilities that are distributed with these Creative devices.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ctshhku.dll. is used by Creative MediaSource and Creative MediaSource Multimedia Keyboard Library, If you shut down ctshhku.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop ctshhku.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Creative MediaSource and Creative MediaSource Multimedia Keyboard Library, from your system.
