The ctlcmgr.exe process file known also as the Live! Cam Manager Application belongs to the product Live! Cam Manager developed by Creative Technology Ltd. This process file runs in the background and is compatible with Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Windows 7 and Windows Vista. The Live! Cam Manager is a user-invoked program used to control webcams. In addition to taking pictures and video captures, users are also able to execute advanced tasks such as time lapse video capturing, remote monitoring, export photos and videos to other programs, motion detection and organize recordings. The Live! Cam Center automatically detects the installed Live! Cam model and disables unsupported features in the interface. However, some users report that the Live! Cam Manager is not available for download or purchase on a regular basis. The Live! Cam Manager application is also reported to be safe and does not present any security risk to the system.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. ctlcmgr.exe. is used by Live! Cam Manager Application, If you shut down ctlcmgr.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop ctlcmgr.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Live! Cam Manager Application, from your system.
