The ctavstub.exe process is specifically deployed into the system as the executable program dispatcher file of the Creative Technology AV Playback application, which is a small program built into these Creative Technology firmware utilities and device driver software components, and this application aids the system and these Creative Technology firmware resources and drivers in implementing the audio playback support of the associated Creative Technology devices into the Windows-based system, in order for these devices to correctly process the audio content of digital videos that are being played in the system.
