What is  csbho.dll

The csbho.dll file has been classified by the system security tools of many users as a malicious program associated with a variant of the AdWare.Win32.Comet.ak application, which is a family of obtrusive adware items known to infect unprotected Windows-based systems, especially computers with missing OS security certificates, outdated Web browsers and unencrypted TCP/IP network ports. These users claim that the csbho.dll adware is distributed as a malicious BHO (Browser Helper Object) that deploys executable component processes with embedded functionalities for creating and injecting keys and entries into the unsecured Windows System Registry of the unprotected computer upon the successful placement and activation of these EXE component files. These registry strings are said to allow the csbho.dll adware to automatically initialize upon loading the Web browsers of the unprotected system, and the csbho.dll adware is also said to quickly and easily latch itself unto outdated Web browsers. These users also claim that the csbho.dll adware is capable of exploiting and using unencrypted TCP/IP network ports, especially in unprotected systems with outdated or missing OS security certificates, in order to transmit secretly collected private user information and Internet surfing details from the infected system and its installed Web browsers to predesignated remote servers that are managed by the authors of the csbho.dll adware. These users reported that this is done by the csbho.dll adware in order for these remote servers to process these stolen details and transmit pop-up ads that are relevant to the bookmarked Web pages, regularly visited websites and previous Internet search engine queries of the user, and these pop-up advertisements are said to be displayed by the csbho.dll adware while the user is browsing the Internet. Other user groups reported that their system security tools flag the csbho.dll file as a malicious application associated with variants of the ADW_COMET program, which is another family of obtrusive adware items known to be embedded with spyware functionalities.

How can I stop csbho.dll and should I?

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. csbho.dll. is used by AdWare.Win32.Comet.ak and ADW_COMET, If you shut down csbho.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
