What is  cpmsky.dll

The cpmsky.dll file has been reported by many users as a malicious program classified by their system security tools as a variant of the Win32/AdRotator application, which is a family of obtrusive adware items that are distributed as malicious BHOs (Browser Helper Objects) and Web browser hijackers. These users claim that the cpmsky.dll malware is capable of infecting unprotected Windows-based systems with missing OS security certificates, unencrypted TCP/IP network ports and an unsecured Windows System Registry, especially since the cpmsky.dll malware is said to have EXE component processes that are said to be capable of creating and injecting keys and entries into an unsecured Windows System Registry, in which these registry keys and entries are said to instruct the unprotected system to allow these executable component files and the cpmsky.dll malware itself to automatically initialize during system startup and operate as hidden background processes during system runtime. These users state that the cpmsky.dll malware injects code into the Web browsers of the infected system, in which these malicious instructions are said to implement redirection and homepage or search page replacement functionalities into the Web browsers of the Windows-based computer, in order to take the user to predesignated websites that are managed by the authors of the cpmsky.dll malware while the user is browsing the Internet. Some users also claim that the cpmsky.dll malware is capable of displaying pop-up advertisements while the user is actively performing Internet surfing activities in the compromised Web browsers of the infected system. A few of these users claim that most of these pop-up ads are related to their bookmarked Web pages, frequently visited sites and previous Internet search engine queries because the cpmsky.dll malware is said to be capable of exploiting and using unencrypted TCP/IP network ports of the infected system to transmit private user details and Internet surfing information to predesignated remote servers that are also managed by the authors of the cpmsky.dll malware. Other user groups reported that their anti-malware applications flag the cpmsky.dll file as a malware item associated with certain variants of the ADW_TRAFFICSOL program, which is another family of obtrusive adware applications.
