What is cpmrotate.dll
The cpmrotate.dll file has been classified by the system security tools of many users as a malicious application associated with a variant of the AdWare.Win32.TrafficSol.aw program, which is a family of obtrusive adware items, malicious BHOs (Browser Helper Objects) and Web browser hijackers that are reported to be embedded with Trojan and spyware functionalities. These users claim that the cpmrotate.dll malware is capable of infecting unprotected Windows-based systems with missing OS security certificates, unencrypted TCP/IP network ports, outdated Web browsers and an unsecured Windows System Registry. These same users also state that the cpmrotate.dll malware can hijack outdated Web browsers and redirect users to predesignated URLs of websites, which are managed by the authors of the cpmrotate.dll malware, while users are browsing the Internet. These users also claim that the cpmrotate.dll malware are distributed with executable processes that can create and inject keys and entries into the unsecured Windows System Registry, especially in unprotected systems with missing OS security certificates, and these registry keys and entries are said to instruct the infected system to allow the cpmrotate.dll malware to automatically initialize during system startup and operate as a hidden background process during system runtime, in order to find and exploit system vulnerabilities like unencrypted TCP/IP network ports and outdated Web browsers that the cpmrotate.dll malware is said to use for initiating contact with predesignated remote servers that are managed by its authors. Other user groups reported that their anti-malware tools flag the cpmrotate.dll file as a malware item associated with a variant of the Adware.Begin2search application, which is a family of adware components that are said to be embedded with Trojan and spyware code.
