Roxio monitors the DVD drive in the disk insertion which loads the Cine Player program initialization. While being helpful, this program application, however, is reported to consume 4Mb up to 5Mb memory disk space, thus it is recommended to be disabled upon system startup post-installation if using a computer with low memory Mb. Originally released as Easy Media Creator, Cine Player is a built-in feature in XP and Vista editions, and can be played by clicking its DVD drive in the My Computer explorer window. Cine Player, in its updated feature, supports up to Mode 2 data recording function (compared to Easy Media Creator, which recorded data in Mode 1 only), which launched the beginning of further technological advancements in the disk playing functionalities of modern computers.
