What is cpactrl.exe
The cpactrl.exe process is an executable component file of CyberPatrol software products, which are Windows programs classified as system security tools that were developed with a set of features for implementing real time monitoring functionalities into Windows-based systems that can detect and block Internet-borne malware like viruses, malicious ActiveX controls deployed by suspicious websites, spyware applications, Trojans, worms, adware BHOs (Browser Helper Objects), Web browser hijackers and other malware items, in order to protect the computer against possible data security and user privacy risks, system stability issues, hacker attacks and data loss or corruption. The cpactrl.exe process is specifically deployed into the system by these CyberPatrol security tools as the executable program dispatcher file of the CyberPatrol Application Control program, which is an applet built into these CyberPatrol software products, and this applet is responsible for monitoring the activity of installed applications in the system, and for blocking potentially malicious code integrated by these installed applications. The cpactrl.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation of these CyberPatrol software products, which also consist of a parental control application.
