The connection.exe process is an executable component file of the Sprint PCS Business Connection client software, which is a Windows program classified as a mobile network management tool that was developed for allowing Sprint PCS Business Connection subscribers to remotely and locally access their client systems with their Sprint PCS smartphones. The Sprint PCS Business Connection subscription plans are offered in two versions, namely the Sprint PCS Business Connection Enterprise edition and the Sprint PCS Business Connection Personal edition. The connection.exe file is placed in the system upon the installation of the Sprint PCS Business Connection client program for any of these two editions, and the connection.exe file is executed right after the Sprint PCS Business Connection client program has been loaded by the user unto the system, and this file activates the executable program dispatcher process of the Sprint PCS Business Connection Client Service application, which continues to operate as a background process while the Sprint PCS Business Connection client software is actively running in the system, in order to assist this program in integrating its remote and local network access functionalities into the Windows-based client system for the connected Sprint PCS smartphone.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. connection.exe. is used by Sprint PCS Business Connection Client, If you shut down connection.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop connection.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Sprint PCS Business Connection Client, from your system.
