What is commdl.dll
The commdl.dll file has been reported by many users as a malicious application flagged by their anti-malware tools as a variant of the Trojan.Win32.BHO.agz program, which is a family of Trojans known to infect unprotected Windows-based systems with outdated system security certificates and unencrypted TCP/IP network ports. These users claim that the commdl.dll file is activated by one of its EXE component processes during system startup, in order for the commdl.dll file to find unencrypted TCP/IP network ports that it can exploit while operating as a hidden background process during system runtime, in order to use these exploited TCP/IP network ports to download more malicious programs unto the system from predesignated remote servers that are managed by the authors of the commdl.dll malware. Other users state that their system security tools classify the commdl.dll file as a malicious application associated with a component or variant of the Infostealer program, which is a family of spyware items known to infect unsecured Windows-based computers with unencrypted TCP/IP network ports. These users claim that the commdl.dll file is capable of covertly gathering private user details like banking and financial data, passwords and Internet surfing information that this malicious program can then transmit to predesignated remote servers for further processing, and some of these users also claim that the commdl.dll file can remain idle for some time, in order to wait for instructions or directives from these predesignated remote servers that the commdl.dll file is said to perform in the infected system upon receipt of these directives or instructions from these remote servers, which are managed by the authors of the commdl.dll malware.
