The executable process file comhost.exe (version 3.0.0.71) is a COM Aggregation Host which belongs to Firewall Component and to the software Norton Internet Security (version 2006), also to Norton online datei (Firewall). The process file is connected to Norton Symantec Internet Security software which is created by the company, Symantec Corporation and is found running in the Task Manager as the process comhost.exe. The process file is considered to be as a digitally Verisign signed file, however is not regarded as a Windows core file and neither does it show a visible window nor is it CPU intensive. The certificate has been signed by Symantec Corporation and was issued by Verisign Time Stamping Services Signer. The process file comhost.exe is executed on startup and is found to be located in Program Files\norton internet security folder and in the subfolder of C:\Program File\Common Files and the directory %COMMONFILES%\Symantec Shared\VA Scanner.
