The cometbrowser.exe process is an executable component file of the BitComet Resource Browser application, which is a small Web browser program that is built into the BitComet BitTorrent client software. This means the cometbrowser.exe process and the other component files and resource libraries of the BitComet Resource Browser application are placed in the system upon the installation of the BitComet BitTorrent client program that bundles this add-on application into its installer distribution package. The cometbrowser.exe process is specifically deployed into the system by the BitComet Resource Browser application as its executable program dispatcher file, which means the cometbrowser.exe process is activated when users unload the BitComet Resource Browser application unto the system from within the BitComet BitTorrent client software, in order to access the embedded Web browsing options and website navigation functionalities of the BitComet Resource Browser application.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cometbrowser.exe. is used by BitComet Resource Browser Application and BitComet BitTorrent Client, If you shut down cometbrowser.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop cometbrowser.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is BitComet Resource Browser Application and BitComet BitTorrent Client, from your system.
