The file cmicnfg.dll, or CmiCnfg DLL, which is its service name, is a part of the program CmiCnfg Dynamic Link Library, which is developed by C-Media. CmiCnfg Dynamic Link Library is basically a component of C-Media driver product. It automatically runs in the background as a service, once it is downloaded onto the computer, since it is a component that is bundled with the software, which is installed on the system. It is advisable to keep this file running, to enable its function, and the only time it has to be terminated or stopped is when it causes problems or errors that affect the system performance. In addition, the process cmicnfg.dll is a dynamic link library, and a Windows file, which makes it certainly compatible with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, including later versions, such as Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000, Windows NT, and Windows ME.
