ATI Catalyst Control Center is the process that installs on PCs when you execute the file clistart.exe. This is generally installed with the drivers for ATI graphic and video cards. The process provides users with an icon for the System Tray where they can configure the settings of their ATI video or graphic card. It likewise displays a little information about the ATI card. The file is not the one that executes the specific functions of your ATI cards, so if you opt to disable the file; you may do so without negatively affecting the system. Your ATI cards will also function as smoothly as they should even without the file enabled. The file’s standard command path is C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Core-Static\clistart.exe. For file version 3.5.0.0, the known file size is 328.5 KB. It is configured to launch with PC boot-up. Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. clistart.exe. is used by ATI Catalyst Control Center, If you shut down clistart.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop clistart.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is ATI Catalyst Control Center, from your system.
