What is  cleanup.exe

The process installed through the executable file cleanup.exe is related to disk cleanup. The process goes by several different names, depending on the software that installed it. One such name is Application Cleanup. It is also called Windows Cleanup. Whatever name it goes by however, the file’s primary function is the same across all process names: to clean your PC disks. The process clears up your Temp folder of all the temporary files that were automatically stored in the folder. General location of the file is C:\Windows\System 32. The file runs as a background task but you can disable it if you want to stop it from executing with startup. However, it is recommended that users run the process at regular intervals to remove unnecessary files from your disks. This will provide you with more CPU memory. Usually, file size ranges from 52 KB to 69.3 KB. The file is available for download on the Internet, for free.
