What is  chpstart.exe

The chpstart.exe file is an EXE application process that has been reported by many users as a malicious application with Trojan and spyware-like functionalities. According to the same user reports, the chpstart.exe process, upon its successful placement and execution in a Windows-based system, creates keys and entries that it then injects into the Windows System Registry. These registry keys and entries instruct the system to allow the chpstart.exe process to automatically initialize during system startup, as stated by these user reports. The chpstart.exe process then operates as a background process in the infected system without user consent, as claimed by some users, in order to find system vulnerabilities that it can exploit. Among these system vulnerabilities that the chpstart.exe process searches for, according to the same users, are TCP/IP network ports that the chpstart.exe can use to initiate contact with predesignated Web servers most likely managed and operated by the authors of the chpstart.exe process. These users claimed that the chpstart.exe process contacts these Web servers in order to download more malware components unto the system and upload covertly collected private information and Internet browsing data from the infected system and its default Web browser.
