The cgmopenbho.exe process is also known as the CGM Open BHO and it belongs to the software CGM Open BHO. It is owned by CGM Open Consortium. There is very minimal information given regarding this process. The file is a BHO (Browser Helper Object) that runs automatically every time the user starts his or her Internet browser. BHOs are not stopped by personal firewalls, because they are identified by the firewall as the user’s browser itself. The process has no visible window. It is capable of monitoring the Internet browser. It is not a Windows system file. It is located in the Windows folder, but it is not a Windows core file. The process contains a security rating of 71% dangerous making it highly unsafe to run according to the users; it is generally more prudent if the user executes this process under cautious conditions within his or her computer system; in order to lessen any possible threats to the user’s computer system, the user needs to be conscious of the possibilities that this process may contain some possible threatening materials, such as Trojan, virus, worm, and any other potential dangers (which makes this process vulnerable to virus writers) that needs to be conscious of, as well performing immediate measures which can be done whenever this program is being run in order to solidify the security and stability of the user’s computer system.
