The executable process file cfengine.exe (version 10.0.2) is identified as CFEngine that is part of the software Alt-N’s CFEngine by Alt-N and is also part of Alt-N’s MDaemon e-mail server application. The process file cfengine.exe is developed by Alt-N and is found to be running in the Task Manager as the process cfengine.exe. Several features of the process file includes that of having no visible windows and neither is it considered to be as a Windows core file. In terms of location, the process file cfengine.exe may vary at distinct Windows languages and versions. The process file is found to be located in the subfolder C:\ Program Files, C:\MDAEMON\ APP\ CFEngine.exe folder and in the directory of D:\ MDaemon\ App. On Windows 7 or XP, the file size is known to be at 131,136 bytes (60% on all occurrences), or 122,880 bytes.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cfengine.exe. is used by CFEngine, If you shut down cfengine.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop cfengine.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is CFEngine, from your system.
