What is  certmgr.dll

The executable file certmgr.exe is a Certificate Manager Tool. It is a tool that comes pre-installed in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems. The primary function of this tool is to manage software certificates, certificate trust lists and revocation lists. This tool can be accessed from the command line by typing certmgr on the search box. It has the capacity to support a number of switches. Using this tool, the user can add certificates, trust and revocation lists to a certificate store. It can also delete these certificates and lists at user’s discretion. There are also options to display all certificates, whether from the Store file or System store. The user can also specify the function by following specific command protocols. For example, when displaying certificates, you can specify only the certificates from a particular sourcename. Certificate Manager is the replacement for the previous tool, DumpCert.
