The executable process file, cepmtray.exe (version 1.1.0.11), is identified as CeTray MFC Application or CeEPOWER that can run at start up. It is part of the software TOSHIBA Power Management, Pocket Hack Master (version 2005), CeTray Application, or TOSHIBA Power Management Utility, that is created by the Company, COMPAL Electronic Inc., or Compal Electronic or Compal. In particular, Toshiba’s power Management Utility permits the user to arrange a variety of profiles for both AC power and Battery power on laptops. The process file controls CPU speed, system hibernate time, monitors shut-down of Hard Drive, brightness and system stand-by. Several features of the process file includes that of having an icon on the taskbar next to the clock, which enable to monitor applications, but does is not considered as a Windows core file nor is it CPU intensive. The process file is also utilized for extending battery life for notebooks by lowering processing speed, brightness, as well as automatically shutting it down. Furthermore, the user has command over CPU speed, system standby time, hard drive, monitor shut down and system hibernate time and brightness.
