The cedafb.dll file has been reported by many users as a malicious program disguised as a legitimate Dynamic Link Library (DLL) module, and these user reports also claim that the cedafb.dll file is integrated with spyware and Trojan functionalities. The same users state that the cedafb.dll file has been classified by their system security tools as variants of the Infostealer.Gampass spyware, while other users reported that their anti-malware applications classified the cedafb.dll file as a malicious program associated with the Trojan.Win32.Agent.jzi application, which is a family of Trojans known to infect Windows-based systems. Both user groups claim that the cedafb.dll file is capable of creating and injecting keys and entries into the Windows System Registry upon its successful placement and activation in the system, in order for the cedafb.dll file to automatically initialize during system startup and covertly operate as a background process during system runtime. As a Trojan, many users claim that the cedafb.dll file can exploit unprotected TCP/IP network ports, in order to download more malicious applications from Web servers that are operated and managed by its authors, while as a spyware component, the cedafb.dll file has been reported to be capable of secretly collecting private user data and Internet surfing information from the infected system and its default Web browser, in which these gathered details are covertly transmitted to the remote servers of its authors.
