This means the cdrmkaun.sys driver file is implemented into the system upon the installation of the associated Sony software utilities. These Sony software utilities are in turn packaged with certain Sony laptops and desktop computers among other systems that are equipped with some Sony hardware devices, and these Sony software utilities are placed in the system upon the integration of the firmware utilities and device driver software components of these Sony laptops, desktop computers and hardware devices.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cdrmkaun.sys. is used by Sony Software Utilities, If you shut down cdrmkaun.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop cdrmkaun.sys, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Sony Software Utilities, from your system.
