China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) is the administrative agency that is responsible for Internet affairs in the People's Republic of China. Navigation is a browser helper object (BHO) component of the CNNIC Chinese Domain, and is not recommended for non-Chinese speaking and reading PC users. It relates to the Browser Modifier:Win32/CNNIC that enables Chinese keyword searching in Internet Explorer and adds support for other applications to use the Chinese domain names that are registered with CNNIC. The program Chinese navigation is often installed as part of a freeware or shareware program, with or without user consent. Chinese Navigation BHO contains a kernel driver supported by the dll file cdndrag.dll, which protects its files and registry settings from being modified or deleted. The program includes automatic self-update functionality, and its presence in the system is indicated by the addition of a menu item with the corresponding Chinese characters to the Internet Explorer Tools menu and a notice in the address bar.
