A registered Macrovision trademark, cdac11ba.exe is the process file that launches SafeCast Windows NT, the protection software especially designed to stop piracy. Adobe uses a SafeCast version for its Creative Suites products, and is reported to have had comparatively less frequent problems or issues, particularly on certain disk configuration types, and continues using the technology for its copy protection.
