The caudiofilteragent.exe process is the executable file associated with Conexant High Definition Audio. This program is licensed by Conexant and covers all the audio for the computer system. It should be activated on startup and kept running as a background application. The program does not consume too much memory or CPU utilization. It is highly discouraged to disable it since it will deactivate the audio function of your computer. Conexant audio has provided computer audio systems, as a complete audio solutions company. Their products range from digital signal processor, voice recording and recognition devices, sound as well as High Definition Quality codecs for Laptops, desktops, tablets and smartphones. It is formulated for easy motherboard integration. Conexant also provides peripheral audio systems when applicable. The program associated with this file is compatible with most Windows operating systems and all computer brands.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. caudiofilteragent.exe. is used by  Conexant High Definition Audio, If you shut down caudiofilteragent.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop caudiofilteragent.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is  Conexant High Definition Audio, from your system.
