What is cam.exe
The process generally known as CA Message Queuing Server is included in CA Unicenter DSM Agent, which is an Asset Management utility utilized by network administrators usually within the IT Department of a company. The file has been cited as a vulnerable file that attackers can use to inject malicious codes in computer systems, based on reports made by clients. The file’s general folder is C:\Program Files. If it is found in the System directory of Windows or in the Temp folder, there is a possibility that the file is copy of the original file, or it has been injected with arbitrary codes and transferred to another folder, thereby determining it as a malicious file. In such cases, the file was found to hog CPU resources. An upgrade patch has been provided by Computer Associates, the software developer, to address this vulnerability. Its two most common sizes are 147,456 bytes and 168,015 bytes.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. cam.exe. is used by CA Message Queuing Server, If you shut down cam.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start.
