Bluetooth Monitor, or Bluetooth Monitor 2, is the term referred to the btmon2.exe file, which is a component of Bluetooth Monitor (version 2), as well as Skype, which is a program produced by TOSHIBA Corporation. The btmon2.exe process is responsible in monitoring any compatible Bluetooth enabled devices that are plugged in or synchronized to the Windows computer, as well as adding those units to a database for later review. With this executable file, the user is able to adjust its monitoring schedule between the interval of 30 and 90 seconds, or more. The btmon2.exe file is an essential part of the application, especially since it is digitally singed by the same company (TOSHIBA CORPORATION - VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer). Therefore, this file must remain stored and hidden in the system, once it has been downloaded or added onto the computer.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. btmon2.exe. is used by Bluetooth Monitor, If you shut down btmon2.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop btmon2.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Bluetooth Monitor, from your system.
