Also known as Status Monitor (Network) or Brother Status Monitor (Network), the file brmfimon.exe is a process which was developed by the Brother Industries for the Brother Status Monitor Application. The Brother Status Monitor reports issues regarding the printer status and will take corrective actions for the error messages that the Brother Status Monitor reported. The Status Monitor setting can be change according to the user's choice by using the Device Options which is located in the Advanced tab in the printer driver. The Status Monitor must be turned on first in order to customize the its setting. The brmfimon.exe process is an executable 64 bit program. It has a registry key of HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run which is used in launching the application automatically. The file is located in the C:\Program Files sub folder with a file size of 212,992 bytes in Windows 7 and Windows XP operating sytem. It is not included in the system of the Windows and it is not visible.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. brmfimon.exe. is used by Brother Status Monitor, If you shut down brmfimon.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop brmfimon.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Brother Status Monitor, from your system.
