Network driver or Black driver is the service name given for the process blackdrv.sys, and is a component of the ICEpac program, which is created by Internet Security Systems, Inc., or ISS, Inc. The blackdrv.sys file serves as a controller and an operator between the program and the hardware or operating system, and enables the software ICEpac, which is where it is housed, to function in the background of the computer. As a driver module, the blackdrv.sys file also has the task to translate or simplify programming. Due to these different functions, blackdrv.sys is considered to be an essential file that needs to work and load continuously as a background process on the computer, where it is installed and running. The user is able to see the blackdrv.sys file if it is running through the Task Manager of Windows, which can be easily accessed by pressing CTRL + ALT + Delete.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. blackdrv.sys. is used by ICEpac , If you shut down blackdrv.sys, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop blackdrv.sys, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is ICEpac , from your system.
