The berkelium.exe process, more known as Chromium, is the executable file developed by The Chromium Authors. Chromium is a free browser project which aims in building a safe, fast, and a stable method for all Web users to experience the Internet. Chromium contains design documents, platform architecture overviews, site testing information, and support program to help users learn to use, build, and work well using the Chromium source codes. The Chromium browser contains the following sections: • Getting Involved – instructional material for users to learn the step-by-step of the project • For Developers – design documents, how-tos, and useful information • For Testers – guidelines on bug reporting, test plans, and quality-related documentations • User Experience – design philosophy behind Chromium's features and functions • Contact – bug reporting, security issue reporting, and contact info of the team members • Get the Code – the Chromium source code for learning how to build • Security – getting involved and contacting the team to learn about the Chromium security • Privacy – getting information about the Chromium privacy by contacting the team

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. berkelium.exe. is used by Chromium Web Browser, If you shut down berkelium.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop berkelium.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Chromium Web Browser, from your system.
