The belkinapm.exe file is the process called LaunchAnywhere that is used by the application Belkin Automatic Power Management developed by Macrovision. The location of this process file is in the C:\Program Files subfolder. Known sizes for the file include 112,640 bytes and 114,688 bytes with 75% occurrence. The program loads when you boot Windows. The registry key is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices. Automatic Power Management or Belkin APM Software is a UPS monitoring program that supports both network-connected [Internet or LAN] and standalone computers. This program monitors the UPS and protects the computer system from crashing down when the power fails. It enables users to configure and monitor the UPS on any computer within the network. This software enables on UPS to protect and secure computers in the network at the same time including saving application data, securely shutting down the system and shutting down UPS when the AC power fails.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. belkinapm.exe. is used by Belkin Automatic Power Software, If you shut down belkinapm.exe, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop belkinapm.exe, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Belkin Automatic Power Software, from your system.
