The bdnagent.exe file is a process that belongs to BitDefender Internet Security Suite developed by Softwin SRL. It supports the updating procedure for BitDefender Anti-virus application. The bdnagent.exe process is also called BitDefender News Agent. It enables updates through Internet connection. These updates can be sent hourly to the users. The process also supports Firewall installed with the security suite. It provides a notification report regarding the progress of the update. The bdnagent.exe process runs in the background through a startup location. It runs automatically when the user boots up the system. This process is not required to keep the system running but it is useful in keeping the stability and security of the system. BitDefender Anti-virus program protects the system by screening attacks and threats by Trojans and spyware that are acquired usually during Internet connections such as through E-mails. The bdnagent.exe also offers anti-spam protection. The file path for this process is C:\ program files \ softwin \ bitdefender9 \ bdnagent.exe.
