What is bcmntio.sys
The driver file bcmntio.sys, which is known as BCMNTIO, is a module that is housed in the program called CheckIt Diagnostics, and programmed or designed by Smith Micro Software, Inc. The bcmntio.sys file is digitally signed (Smith Micro Software, Inc. - VeriSign Time Stamping Services Signer), but most importantly developed in relation to the repair and maintenance of system errors and troubleshoots, such as problems in codecs, drivers, and registry entries. Also, the bcmntio.sys file controls other processes or modules that help maintain troubleshoot-free system, or fix problems on the hardware of the computer, and perform diagnostics or tests during the plugging of external devices, such as digital and video cameras, printers, scanners, MP3 players, wireless modems, and other mobile units. Since the program CheckIt Diagnostics is designed to run on both 32-bit and 64-bit computers, the bcmntio.sys file can be installed on a variety of Windows operating systems.
