What is  basfipm.exe

When you execute the file basfipm.exe, what you are installing is a process that is part of the software for Broadcom ASF Management. Broadcom Alerts Standard Format IP monitoring service is a process that gives users the option to configure ASF functions of the company’s network adapters that you have installed into your CPU. The file generally comes pre-installed in some laptop units, and can be disabled if you will not be using the Broadcom network adapters installed in your laptop. What the file does is to recognize all network adapters that are ASF-enabled. Once these have been detected, you can now start to configure your adapters. It is launched as a system service, and is generally left running in the background by most users.
