Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet is one of the latest Ethernet controllers from the company, and the hardware device is installed in the system with the b57xp32.sys file. Ethernet controllers, when properly installed and enabled, give users access to their Local Area Network for file sharing, printing, scanning, and more importantly, for connecting to the Internet. The file’s common path is C:\Windows\System 32\Drivers\b57xp32.sys, and its average file size 156,160 bytes. The Ethernet driver makes it possible for your computer’s OS to communicate with a LAN port. In short, the driver is essential if you are connected to a local network. If you are not on a local network, you may disable the file. Driver problems generally occur when the driver or the Operating System is not current. If one is updated and the other is not, they will no longer be compatible which can create conflicts between the two.
