This dynamically loaded or linked file is a BHO or browser helper object. It automatically loads when you start the Internet browser. It can monitor programs and alter the behavior of applications. Personal firewalls usually detect BHOs as the browser itself that is why they are often used by spyware and adware for their malicious activities. Automatic startup locations for the awvtr.dll process include the local machine for autorun registry entries, Explorer BHOs, authentication packages and Explorer ShellExecuteHooks.
