Most anti-virus programs and many user reports identify awvtq.dll file as spyware or adware. It is associated with the spyware application called Virtumonde by Virtumundo, Inc. This spyware can regenerate itself every time you try to stop it or delete it. The path for this process is in C:\Windows\System32. Known sizes for the awvtq.dll file include 280,676 bytes, 573,492 bytes with 10% occurrence and 34 other variants. This DLL is a BHO or browser helper object that loads automatically when you start the Internet browser. Spyware and adware often use BHOs for their malicious operations because personal firewalls usually do not block their activities because they are detected as the browser itself. It is not a visible application. It appears as unknown file on Windows folder. It can monitor and change the activities on your Internet browser. It is a non-system process. It can record inputs. Winlogon notification, authentication packages and Explorer BHOs are the automatic startup locations for this process. Virtumonde delivers continuous ads to the computer screen, thereby interfering with the regular surfing activities by the user and slowing down the computer.

Most non-system processes that are running can be stopped because they are not involved in running your operating system. awvtq.dll. is used by Virtumonde, If you shut down awvtq.dll, it will likely start again at a later time either after you restart your computer or after an application start. To stop awvtq.dll, permanently you need to uninstall the application that runs this process which in this case is Virtumonde, from your system.
